It is Corn Festival Time August 11th – 14th!
This is one of our larger fundraisers of the year, we need everyone’s help in making it a success. Traditionally, this has been the ladies responsibility, with the exception of the wonderful chairman, consisting of men and women in past years. Same as last year we are inviting the ladies to bring your spouses along for your shift. We can use everyone’s help, especially in the park. Again this year, we need your pies (no soft pies please) and cakes. Pies and cakes can be dropped off at Holy Trinity Elementary on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 12 pm–6 pm, if after 6 pm please bring pies and cakes to the church tent in the park. Drop pies and cakes off at the back door/back alley of HTC for easy access and proximity to the kitchen. On Sunday, please drop off pies and cakes at the church tent in the park.
Thanks to each of you in advance for helping us by working your shift and donating pies and cakes. If you are unable to work your shift, please do your best to trade with someone. Please contact your Day Manager if you need to switch or are unable to work your shift (Day Manager contact information can be found on the church website). We have many openings on Sunday shift 11 AM – 1:30 PM if you are able to work please let us know! If we missed assigning you, we’re sorry, but you can give Angie Box a call at 319-470-3327 and she will be glad to have your help. See you at the Sweet Corn Festival! Bring your families and support St. Mary’s Catholic Church Food tent and the Fall Festival Raffle sales, remember the Gator raffle early bird pricing of 6 raffle tickets for $100 will end after Sweet Corn Festival Weekend!
